The IPC project is an international, interdisciplinary course in which students choose, prepare, carry out and present projects with the help of web 2.0 technologies. This implies a special focus on knowledge networking, collaborative learning, teamwork and initiative, but also patience and intercultural competence. After a kick-off meeting in each of the participating partner institutions (Charlotte, Sofia, Granada, Eichstätt) introducing the general topic of “curriculum”, the students sign up here and create their personal userpage. In order to get in touch with each other, the students will write postings and comments on the general reading on the Welcome Forum. Once used to this type of asynchronous communication and to the other mixxt-features (shoutbox, wiki, etc.) the students will have the opportunity to investigate some aspect of curriculum and compare the four countries by forming international groups dealing with one special topic, i.e.: - What is curriculum and what are types of curriculum? - What influences the curriculum in our schools? - How do social factors influence curriculum/learning? - key points in the history of curriculum of the four countries ? - What are similarities and differences? - How do key groups in society contribute to curriculum development? - What are different models for delivering curriculum? - What are philosophical perspectives that influence the delivery of the curriculum?
